Brenton's unique upbringing, lifelong boating background, and extensive maritime training have equipped him with exceptional captaining skills, enabling him to excel within the industry, boasting more sea time than most other teaching and delivery captains. He began his delivery captain services in 1993 while studying at Maine Maritime Academy. Experience truly matters when it comes to expert boat transports and yacht deliveries!  

As of summer 2026, Brenton has captained power and sail vessels over 250,000 nautical miles along the US East Coast, Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Caribbean—9,800 miles of this being within the I.C.W. from Norfolk, VA, to Tampa, FL.  

Specializing in catamaran and monohull sailboats up to 70ft, he has also delivered luxury sailing vessels up to 82ft. Additionally, Brenton is highly proficient in handling outboard power vessels up to 40ft and inboard twin screw power vessels up to 70ft in length, including advanced Volvo IPS Drives.  

Since 1991, he has worked as an award-winning sailing instructor and sailing school owner, establishing himself as a leader in the industry and consistently ranked among the top 1.5% of American Sailing instructors worldwide since 2008. These exemplary private boating instruction skills have seamlessly translated into powerboat training since 2002. Brenton has personally educated over 10,000 students on how to sail and handle powerboats. Many clients affectionately refer to him as a “boat whisperer,” a name that has clearly resonated over the years!  

To aid in making informed navigation decisions, Brenton employs the latest technologies, including Aquamaps with USACE survey data, Bob’s Tracks, and Active Captain, along with his extensive experience with Garmin, B&G, Raymarine, Furuno, and Navionics platforms.  He backs all of the technology with his extensive classic piloting skills.

His fascination with weather since childhood has turned him into an amateur meteorologist, skillfully identifying safe and comfortable weather windows for his deliveries using advanced technologies and his own eyes. Brenton's expertise in private boating instruction significantly enhances his ability to ensure that every delivery is executed with the utmost care.

Captain Brenton has been a US Sailing and American Sailing certified instructor since 1991, committing himself to full-time private boating instruction year-round since 1995. His journey began in 1998 when the Vice President of US Sailing invited him to open his first sailing school under their guidance. This school rapidly evolved into one of the largest community sailing centers in New England. 

In 2008, Brenton founded Black Rock Sailing School in Boston Harbor, which has received national recognition as the ASA 'Outstanding School of the Year' every year that the award was offered since the school's inception! 

Since 2008, he has consistently ranked among the top 1.5% of American Sailing instructors worldwide.

Expert Yacht Deliveries/Boat Transport, and Professional Captain Services

As of summer 2026, Brenton has logged over 250,000nm under his keel as captain, specializing in expert yacht deliveries and comprehensive captain services. He has completed 38 passages between New England and the Caribbean, primarily through Bermuda, including multiple single-handed and double-handed trips. His offshore experience totals 69,000nm and continues to grow! 

He has accomplished six passages between Rhode Island and the Exumas, with two being single-handed, and has navigated five passages entirely along the I.C.W. between Norfolk, VA, and Stuart, FL. Additionally, he completed nine partial runs inside the I.C.W. in the same area, with many sections sailed outside. Overall, Brenton has accumulated 180,000nm along the US East Coast, from Miami, Florida, to Bar Harbor, Maine; far more than a majority of the delivery captains in the industry!

A Unique Background That Have Made Him A Leader in The Industry

Brenton’s extensive experience includes serving as a sailboat charter captain on vessels up to 59ft in the US, Spanish, and British Virgin Islands since 1995. He specializes in both single and twin-engine vessels, including inboard, outboard types, and advanced Volvo IPS Drives. 

Brenton has significant experience aboard a variety of Hinckley Talaria Jet Drives up to 48ft, Palm Beach Yachts up to 60ft, and has been the captain of an Oyster 82 since 2021. 

He has trained owners of numerous Hylas and Oyster Yachts ranging from 49 to 70ft, as well as skillfully delivered many fine yachts, including Swans up to 65ft, a Wauquiez 55, and Hinckley and Morris vessels up to 48ft. 

He brings countless hours of teaching and skippering production monohulls like Beneteau, Catalina, Jeanneau, Hunter, Dufour, Morris, Island Packet, X Yacht, J/Boat, Frers, and Tartan, which range from 30 to 53ft, as well as production catamarans like Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Leopard, Excess, Bali, and Privilege yachts ranging from 36 to 59ft.

Chef Nataly Lochridge, born and raised in Israel, is a solo yacht chef specializing in personalized culinary experiences aboard private and charter yachts. Her cooking style brings together Mediterranean, Israeli, Italian, international, and fusion cuisine, guided by a fresh farm-to-table approach.

As a solo yacht chef, Nataly independently manages the full culinary operation on board. Her responsibilities include customized menu planning, guest preference forms, dietary requirements and food allergies, provisioning, inventory and food-budget management, and the preparation of meals, cocktails, and desserts.

Her experience includes sailing yachts, catamarans, and motor yachts during private charters, family cruising, and yacht deliveries along the U.S. East Coast, in Florida, the Virgin Islands, and the Caribbean. She is comfortable working independently in compact yacht galleys, planning carefully around limited storage, and adapting to changes in itineraries, schedules, and guest numbers.

Nataly’s culinary approach is centered on quality ingredients, distinctive flavors, elegant presentation, and menus created specifically for each trip. Rather than relying on a fixed menu, she tailors each dining experience to the guests, destination, season, dietary needs, and preferred style of service.

Before entering professional yachting and hospitality, Nataly won first place in a MasterChef competition for women executives in Israel. She also holds a master’s degree in psychology and professional training in mediation. This background supports her ability to understand people, recognize individual needs, communicate with sensitivity, and maintain a respectful and pleasant atmosphere in a demanding and constantly changing environment.

For Nataly, hospitality is an essential part of the onboard experience. Her attention to detail, service, timing, and the flow of each day allows guests to enjoy a personal, relaxed, and carefully considered dining experience from breakfast through dinner and dessert.
